Emphysema and fibrosis of the lung

Hi I am trying to help my father, who has developed emphysema and fibrosis, he is 75 years old.
He has wanted to go along with the doctors but it has been about 4 years now, and still no treatment.
I think he might come around to a more holistic approach, as he is being told by the doctors the various solutions,
which involve steroids, followed by another drug to counter the fact that the first drugs will cause his bones to become brittle!
unfortunately the second drug causes another reaction so he would need to take another to counter etc etc, seems like madness to me.
I am waiting to hear about doing a course with MMS hopefully in the new year, so I can be more and better prepared to help my Father and others.
If anyone has any suggestions i'd be very grateful, I have been looking into some interesting holistic products rather expensive! but apparently some very positive results with people suffering from the same disease.
