As far as I know, the shingles are a herpes outbreak. I do not recall anything specific in Jim's book about shingles. If you go to protocol 3000 with dmso and mms, then look at this discussion

It is best if your container starts out dry when you mix up a dose, but not the end of the world if it isn't.
If you have been able to start at 4-5 drops/hr that is pretty good. Keep up the good work!

Herpes

The updated protocols described in Chapter 13 will generally handle
herpes. Start with Protocol 1000 and if that doesn’t do the job, go to
Protocol 2000 and add in Protocol 3000. In most cases Protocol
1000 will do it, but it may take a few weeks.
