Best simple CD protocol for CAT with possible urinary tract (UTI) or kidney infection? was created by Opening
I searched and found treatment protocols for UTI (urinary tract infection) in humans and many testimonials. But I am caring for a CAT that MAY or may not have an infection of the urinary tract or bladder or kidneys. I know the symptoms of a UTI so no need to mention that. I thought the easiest thing would be to put one drop of 25% SCS (sodium chlorite solution), which I have, in the cat's water bowl. I am open to refining this simple approach if anyone has a proven protocol for cats.

Methylene Blue is great for UTIs in humans, it use to be the recommended solution. I have no knowledge of cats but it may be worth checking in to.

Yeah, I know Methylene Blue seems to be the rage right now. I am in a group that discusses it and am considering using it for the cat if I can obtain it in this small country and if it can be added to the cat's water or food.

Thanks much for the detailed and lengthy reply. It is now known that the cat does not have an infection. It has nerve damage near where the tail joins the back.
