MMS solution Loss of potency ??

I made up a solution of 22.4% sodium chlorite in distilled water stored in a brown glass bottle 4 years ago.
Can I still use the solution, is there a significant loss of potency, and or degradation of solution ?
When I place about 4 drops in a small glass of  water I still can smell the telltale odor of "bleach", so still potent?
