Well, I'm sorry to say that the Icelandic brand water is not any more alkaline than Fiji brand. They are both around 6.5 pH. Any recommendations on a more alkaline bottled water? Thank you!

I found while reading by chance an interesting passage that I have translated once quickly. Whether it is true, however, one would have to ask the respective waterworks once.
"Is tap water alkaline?
No, tap water has a neutral pH of about 7.0. Not because the state is interested in keeping us particularly healthy, but because the pipes would rust (oxidize) if the water had an acidic pH of 6, 0 or lower."

Waters and solutions with a pH value of 7 are called "neutral solutions". At least it would not be "too acidic" in that case.

To make CDS using the glass dual chamber bento box, I use RO water and add trace mineral drops till I get a pH of 9.0.
I use an electronic hand held pH tester to monitor pH.
Once I acheive the desired pH, I pour the water (400mL) into the larger chamber, then add 5mL each sodium chlorite solution and 5% HCL into the smaller chamber.
Cover and pop in the fridge for 10hr, then pour the 400mL finished CDS into a brown recycled H2O2 bottle and back into the fridge for storage.
Finished my first batch minutes ago.

Do you have CLO2 test strips to measure the ppm? I am going to guess that the ppm is about 1000.
And, what is the pH and TDS of your CDS?
What was the depth in mm of the reactor solution?
If you haven't seen my post today , check it out.

You got me. What does TDS stand for?
TIA,
Jim

TDS is Total Dissolved Solids which can be minerals in the water. You can buy a combo pH + TDS meter to measure both.
