HCL

Hello! Does anyone know where in uk I can purchase 4% HCL. Is this the same as Hydrochloric Acid? I ask this because I managed to find 5% Hydrochloric Acid but when it came it was a clear liquid and in Andreas Kalckers video it is vey clearly a bright yellow liquid ! Anyone know about this please? Thank you!!

I'm not in UK but buy mine at hardware stores. What I've got is 30%, and may be what is called muriatic acid in english. We just call it "saltacid" but data sheet says HCL, with no additives. Clear liquid. Used for cleaning brick walls and such. Works perfectly fine for generating clo2. Whether its 30 or 5% it must be diluted down to 4% for making clo2.
The HCL I've seen Andreas use has always been a clear liquid.

Use the 4th calculator down the page to dilute from a higher % HCL to 4%.

Add 25ml of 31.45% HCL to 175ml of clean water and you will have 200ml of 4% HCL. Always add acid to water, NOT water to acid.
