Hello Every,

Terry here with another question. I have a bottle of MMS in my counter and I think it been there unopened for 2 1/2 years. I activated some yesterday and it smells right.

I looked at the bottle and it does not have an expiration date on it. You think it's still good?

Terry

Recently my bottle of 18 month old MMS did not provide the amount of CLO2 I was expecting when running some tests. I made a new batch of MMS and that worked. Similar problem with 4% HCL, but it was about 4 years old. I made a new batch of that and was good to go. Both were kept at room temperature out of light. They might have lasted longer in a fridge. But, if kept in a fridge, they activate slower when making MMS1, CDS, or CDH, so warm them up first.

Thank you for your reply. When I squeezed my MMS bottle it appeared to have crystallized in the top potion of the bottle and was clogged. I threw it away and order fresh bottles.

Thank you again,

Terry

Terry, those crystals are normal and not an indication of a bad product. Remember that sodium chlorite is considered a salt and that is what you are seeing. A small amount of MMS dries out leaving some salt behind. You will find it on any MMS bottle cap.
