Some might find this useful (or just interesting). Pre-measured/prepared solutions can be very handy for storage and travel, etc.

I surmised that water was the real activator because water is responsible for bringing about ATP synthesis (which shows that water is the source of energy), see attached. In other words, without water present, no work gets done (and if no work gets done, no reaction can take place).
