Please help with test strip was created by Elena
Hi. I used the lamotte strips to test beverage compatibility with MMS, as mentioned in Jim Humble's book. The first test strip was 50ppm, maybe darker. The 2nd strip done an hour later was 100ppm. Would someone please explain this? Is this beverage okay to use? It seems to work okay for me. Thanks.

CLO2 test strips give a rough idea of CLO2 concentration in ppm.

Not knowing how many drops of MMS you used or the amount of beverage, its hard to say what reading to expect.

Typically, a 3 drop MMS1 dose in 120 ml of distilled water would result in about 25 ppm at 30 seconds of activation time when 4% HCL MMS activator is used.

I used 4 ounces of liquid mixed with 3 hcl activated drops MMS. It seems the beverage is okay to use then. Thanks for your reply.
