Sodium Hypochlorite

I live in South Africa. I could get Sodium Hypochlorite. Can that be used instead of the Sodium Chlorite? Would the formula have to be changed?

I asked Jim Humble and Andreas Klacker the same question and they responded NO, it is not the same and cannot be used, I cannot remember why....

If you could find calcium hypochlorite, that is the only substitute, and is used inside a capsule only.  It is MMS2, we could give you instructions.  

Calcium hypochlorite, Ca(ClO)_2, a powder or granules, is MMS2, but sodium hypochlorite, NaCLO, a liquid, is Clorox bleach which will release toxic chlorine gas! 

If you can't find MMS (sodium chlorite, NaCLO₂) you can use MMS2, Calcium hypochlorite. Follow directions as outlined in Jim Humble's latest book , MMS Health Recovery Guidebook. 

I've found sodium hypochorite sold in powder form as swimming pool shock, they sell it where natural calcium is high in the water.

But, I stay away from it - am I right?

Interesting that you found Sodium Hypochlorite in dry form. 

Do not use Sodium Hypochlorite as MMS2 because it is the wrong chemical. MMS2 is Calcium Hypochlorite.
