Horse with EPM

I have a race horse that has EPM...is there anyone out there that knows of what protocol i can use to rid this horse of this horrible parasite. It's in his brain and spine..he passes out once a week and could hurt himself. The trainer wanted to put the horse down but i stopped them..i would like to see if i could help him. Any idea's of what to do. Sincerely
