I'd like to know if I can use acsorbic acid crystals/powder instead of other activators and HOW MUCH should I use per 800 grams of ClO2?

Ascorbic acid may react with sodium chlorite solution (NaCLO2) (MMS) and release chlorine dioxide (CLO2) but then it will also reduce CLO2 considerably. See this test

I performed a few years ago.
The recommended MMS activator is 4% HCL.
The recommended MMS activator is 4% HCL.
