I want to make my own MMS and am looking at the 80% Chlorine tablers chemical structure and have found they contain BORIC ACID and SIMKOLZEN, both dangerous for human consuption. The first is said that it can be separated from the compound with heating. It is supposed to surface as white spots. The other one I am not sure what to do with it.

I have read that you can buy Chlorine in swimming pool shops, but this two chemicals got me concerned. I really want to be 100% sure I am usiing just NaClO2 and not some other nasty chemicals that will have side effects.

Can anyone help me out on this one? Have you used Chlorine tablets or powder bought from a swimming pool shop?

You can't make MMS1 from chlorine tablets. MMS1 is made from sodium chlorite. You can make MMS2 from calcium hypochlorite found in swimming pool stores.

I have read that its called shock treatment for swimming pool water. Though I am having a hard time getting the exact chemical composition of the products. I found one that there is stated calcium hypochlorite in a neighbouring country. Still looking for one in mine (sLOVEenia)

Yes, Pool Shock is the name for swimming pool calcium hypochlorite here in the US. You may find a different Pool Shock that is not calcium hypochlorite, so beware! Look for the highest percentage of calcium hypochlorite in Pool Shock.

From Jim's latest book:

MMS2, calcium hypochlorite, is sometimes known as Pool Shock. It is sold in pool stores and grocery stores throughout the world. As long as it is for swimming pools, manufacturers cannot put bad things in the pools that would hurt swimmers, and thus cannot put harmful things in the calcium hypochlorite. The package will say it contains somewhere from 45% to 85% available chlorine. This is not true. As long as you have calcium hypochlorite (not sodium hypochlorite, which does produce chlorine) there is no available chlorine. When calcium hypochlorite is dissolved in water it turns into hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and there is no chlorine available.

Thank you so much for your help. When I find it, I'll share which options are good for EU. Things that are sold in my country should be available in other countries to.

For anyone who is from Croatia, here is a link to the Swimming pool shop in Porec: www.bazeni-istra.com/product/6-kalcij-hipoklorit-granule

Note at the website it says their calcium hypochlorite is "65-70% kalcijev hipoklorit" (65-70% calcium hypochlorite) which is a good quality for MMS2 use.

As a preventative....I've been taking one a day for months at a time for 4 years, my husband as well.... much easier than the liquid, just remember to take with 8 oz of distilled water...... I usually add a little pure juice - which does not contain citric acid) to the water to make it sweeter. I've experienced that one capsule will kill a cold when it's just coming on, or kill guardia in a minute, or kill a cyst....
