Home made Urinalyisis? was created by Tillerman6
Friends,
I don't know if this is any indication of my progress? Someone who has had Urinary tract infections and then cured it with MMS might be able to answer this one?
I completed the 21 days and the starting proceedure this week.
I don't have any lingering symptoms other than 3 trips to the bathroom at night. This was attributed to a slightly enlarged prostate, but it is not bothering me other than that.
Is there some way to culture test my urine? Even without identifying exactly what it might be, just the fact that something is growing would be a rough indication that something is wrong. I am assuming that urine should be sterile, but the second day "results" in the toilet seem to be pretty smelly. Is this normal?
Could this be Ammonia and/ or sugars in the urine that did not get used up reacting with some bacteria that is already in the water?
Your insights are much appreciated!

Hi Tillerman, I read that going to the toilet at night was because your blood has to be kept at a pretty exact PH level, so your body is constantly adjusting it, then it wakes you up to go too the toilet and purge the poisons out of your body.
Have you stopped taking sugar completely? You should of course.
If you roll up a slice of bread into a ball thats the amount of sugar that will be released into your body, so cut out all flour products.
As for urine testing perhaps this site could help you; labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/urinalysis/ui-exams/start/1

I don't know what country you are located, but it is really easy to buy urine test strips almost anywhere. That was how I kept track when I was pregnant. You can get a rough bacteria count, sugar levels, everything.
One thing about urination urges at night, make sure your pelvic floor is really strong. It can be another factor. Even men should do kegels. Especially if you are sitting down a lot of the time.
Last, but certainly not least, make sure you are getting enough fresh water every day. That is often a major factor in urine smell.

Has anybody used these strips from Amazon?
www.amazon.com/Cybow-Urinalysis-Reagent-Strips-Parameter/dp/B00SIMQX1W/ref=sr_1_6_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1459516806&sr=8-6&keywords=urinary+tract+infection+testing+strips
If so, are they good or hard to use for someone that has never used them before?
Also, can I use the regular specimen cups sold on Amazon or do they need to be the sterile cups?
I question as my husband is having urinary problems. He has been on MMS2 for quite some time now.
Thank you everyone!

I have not used those particular strips, but I am sure they are fine. They really are pretty much all the same. Amazon has such good prices, but if you wanted the strips immediately you could find them at a Walgreens or any pharmacy drug store type place.
Also, I never bothered with a cup. Just pee a bit first and then stick the strip in the urine stream and drop it on a paper towel afterwards.
That way the strip is getting a "clean catch" as in whatever bacteria may be picked up surface wise, it is already rinsed off and you get an accurate reading.
