Taking MMS after hip replacement

Hi, I have a friend whose husband has had 2 hip replacements and now is having knee pain. I told her to give him MMS. She wanted to know if he can take it since he's had two hip replacements. She seems to think it would react with the metal somehow. I told her I'd ask.
