Adrenal gland tumor found, any advice????

My good friend just discovered she has a tumor in her adrenal gland. She's supposed to schedule the surgery tomorrow to have it removed then start chemotherapy. I know the adrenal gland sits on top of the kidney buy uhh don't know much about it. Is there a better way to go about it other than chemo??

I was diagnosed with the same thing 4 years ago but was told it was benign and that it was not uncommon and had a second MRI and it was determined to leave it. Was the tumor determined to be cancerous? I would never ever ever put Chemo in my body.
